Reporting Relationship: Construction Manager

Job Purpose:

We provide a wide range of architectural, construction, and project management services to varied markets. We deliver world class service and performance, and employ more than 60 people.

This position has the responsibility for managing all on site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. The position reports to the Construction Manager and will possess a working knowledge of the respective industry. The Site superintendent will be responsible for supervision of all personnel and activities on the site through subordinate leaders.

The nature of the position includes:

• Ensuring the health and safety policy is implemented for construction activities; input, review and implement site safety management plans; follow incident, accident and near miss reporting and to promote safety through effective communication;
• Maintaining and fostering good relations with the Client.
• Ensuring effective communication exists with all members of the project team.
• Providing reports as required to the Construction Manager and others.
• Monitoring and Meeting the construction schedule.
• Establishing and maintaining necessary construction procedures.
• Providing advice on activity progress and how it relates to cost management.
• Accepting responsibility for materials receipt, storage and distribution.
• Providing advice on constructability as required.
• Ensuring Quality Assurance requirements delivery and compliance.
